THE PHOENIX & THE CROW is a trans-media prototype created by Nick Varon and it is intended to be accessed and exhibited across various audio, visual, and digital platforms.

INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS, this story follows three generations of crime in the fictional town of New Haven, Georgia. Focusing on the birth of the Dixie Mafia, the rise of criminal commerce in the south, and the blurred notions that are thought to define heroes and villains, this story-world challenges traditional concepts of character and seeks to create an everlasting impression on its audience.

ORIGINALLY this project began as a fictional short-story placing emphasis on the actions of a dying criminal “organization” – The Dixie Mafia. Little did the author know that his interests in this topic would lead him down a strange road of personal discovery and historical revelation; unearthing once forgotten instances and infamous events that took place in his home town, and in some cases, in his own back yard.

THE GOAL of this project is to express and exhibit Nick Varon's creative abilities as well as his attempt to gain the attention of various media production outfits; aspiring to tell these untold stories to a global audience.
